Chailakhov Residential House

Фото 1
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a small two-story house was built on the famous Petrovsky Boulevard in Azov, belonging to a local resident named Chailakhov. The building is designed in a style characteristic of southern Russia: the first floor is semi-basement and was intended for household needs, while the owner's family lived on the second floor. The entrance to the house was made in the front wall, but it is now closed.

The exact names of all the owners of the house over more than a hundred years are unknown, and the building still bears the name of its first owner. The house has been preserved quite well, although it has long needed repairs. Judging by its appearance, it has been vacant for several years. Nevertheless, the house is included in the list of architectural monuments of regional significance in the Rostov region and is under state protection.
