The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built by Ukrainian Cossacks in the early 19th century, as many internet sources and residents of the village of Amrakits claim. After the earthquake in 1988, the church ceased its activities, and the icons were transferred to the Russian church in Gyumri.
