The exhibition hall is located in the city center, just a block from the main museum building, on the first floor of a residential building. Initially, in 1963, the museum was given only one hall for traveling exhibitions. In 1985, after reconstruction, a spacious enfilade hall was opened. Its area is now about 650 square meters, and it is visited by tens of thousands of people each year. About 20 exhibitions are held here annually, showcasing various directions of visual art, architecture, and photography, with a focus on contemporary artists and collectors from Russia and other countries.
Different forms of interaction are offered for various categories of visitors: tours, museum activities with practical elements, thematic master classes, creative meetings with artists, lectures on contemporary art, and a series of lectures "Russian Literature in Visual Art. Unknown Masterpieces from the Museum's Collections."
A "Musical Living Room" program is also implemented in collaboration with the Kirov Philharmonic, featuring folk and rock concerts, events like "Museum Night" in May, "Night of the Arts" in November, "Art Bazaar" in April and December, video screenings, and fashion shows. Various events take place at the Creative Development Museum Center.
The exhibition hall provides an opportunity for the realization of personal creative projects.
