The exhibition hall, opened in September 2010 at the Regional House of Folk Art, was created to introduce residents and guests of the city to both traditional local crafts and trades as well as modern trends in decorative and applied arts.

In the first hall, ancient crafts that masters have managed to preserve to this day are presented: pottery and the creation of clay toys, weaving from willow, straw, bulrush, and reeds, weaving of canvas and towels from hemp and linen threads, carpet weaving from wool, making barrel utensils from oak and linden, as well as creating dolls from scraps and natural materials.

In the second hall, modern authorial works are exhibited. Here you can see bead jewelry and author ceramics, artistic wood carving and painting. Various types of author embroidery are presented, including cross-stitched napkins and towels, ribbon paintings, and batik. You can also familiarize yourself with ultra-modern trends in handmade crafts, such as decoupage, polymer clay, and carved candles.

The staff of the House of Folk Art regularly conducts tours of the exhibition for visitors of all ages, from preschoolers to adult guests. Frequent visitors include schoolchildren, students, foreigners, and participants of folklore festivals. Special events for children are provided, including free master classes in bead weaving, appliqué, quilling, sculpting author and traditional clay whistles, felting, floristry, decoupage, dough modeling, making textile toys, and herbal dolls. These activities allow children not only to immerse themselves in the world of art but also to learn some secrets of creating beautiful things from craft masters and communicate with them.
