In the 18th century, a church was built in the village in honor of the feast of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Although the exact date of the construction of the first church is unknown, it is already mentioned in the 1720 census. In 1770 and 1773, the church burned down, and His Grace Varlaam, Bishop of Tobolsk and Siberia, blessed the construction of a new church on this site. Over time, the building became dilapidated, and in 1827 a new wooden single-altar church with the same dedication was built.

By the end of the 19th century, with the growth of the number of parishioners and pilgrims, the need for a more spacious church arose. On March 27 (April 8) 1891, the parishioners received permission to build a stone single-story three-altar church. On April 20 (May 2) 1894, the new Vvedensky church was laid according to the project of the Tobolsk diocesan architect Bogdan Bogdanovich Tsinke. The construction proceeded quickly with the participation of the famous merchant from Kurgan, Alexander Balakshin. On September 16 (28), 1897, the archpriest of the Kurgan churches, Protopriest Dmitry Kuznetsov, consecrated the northern chapel in the name of St. Paraskeva Friday. On January 30 (February 11), 1898, the main altar was consecrated, and on October 5 (17), 1898, the third altar in the name of the Righteous Simeon of Verkhoturye.

The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Vvedenskoe is notable for its frescoes, executed not only in the altar but throughout the interior. In 1903, the Tobolsk artist, academician of painting Nikifor Komogorov painted the church, using themes inspired by the frescoes of Viktor Vasnetsov and engravings by Gustave Doré. In 1906, the icon painter Ioann Teploukhov from the village of Mekhonskoye added several frescoes at the entrance, leaving a large inscription about his authorship, which is why he is sometimes considered the author of the entire interior.

On November 4, 1929, a decision was made to close the church and transfer it for cultural needs: a school, a reading hut, and a club. On January 12, 1930, the presidium of the Kurgan district executive committee requested permission to close the church. On January 13, 1937, the chairman of the Chelyabinsk regional executive committee A. Kiselev and secretary M. Murdina approved the decision to close it, recommending the building be used as a club and reading hut. However, for a long time it remained vacant, and in 1944 it was used for grain storage.

By 1956, the church was in a state of neglect and decay, so its premises were transferred to the Kurgan district consumer society for the establishment of a tea house and a shop for industrial goods.

In 1989, the church was returned to the believers, and the restoration of the bell tower and domes began, which was completed in 2005.
