The holy water chapel at the Raifa Monastery is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:45 PM, consecrated in 1997 by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and all Russia.
Since ancient times, water has symbolized purification, especially concerning holy water.
On the western side of the church square of the Raifa Monastery, there is a chapel where water from artesian wells is brought. The chapel and the spring were consecrated by Patriarch Alexy II in September 1997.
Pilgrims and guests of the monastery can taste the water from the holy spring or take it with them.
However, God does not perform miracles for those who seek them merely out of curiosity, without a sincere desire to use them for their salvation. The Savior spoke of his unbelieving contemporaries: "A wicked and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it." For the holy water to be beneficial, one must care for the purity of the soul, the brightness of thoughts and actions. With each touch of the holy water, one should raise a prayer in mind and heart.
