In the cozy Feodosia, one can find many monuments of pre-revolutionary architecture, and while strolling through the city, you can enjoy the most unexpected buildings. One of the rarest and most beautiful monuments of the imperial era is the magnificent Mezheninovsky Bridge, built in 1892. This ancient structure connects the summer house of the famous publisher Alexei Sergeyevich Suvorin with the rest of the city. The bridge is small, crossing the railway, which is also a local attraction. Unfortunately, the summer house itself has not survived to this day and was destroyed during the Soviet era, but it remains in enthusiastic memories. The great Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov often visited Suvorin and always gladly accepted his invitations. In summer, the summer house was never empty, and many famous people, whose names are known not only to connoisseurs of Russian literature and history, passed over the Mezheninovsky Bridge. This gives the bridge special significance, and it itself inspires admiration.

The bridge consists of three small spans and has sturdy cast-iron railings that have been preserved since its construction. The bridge is named after engineer Nikolai Pavlovich Mezheninov, who designed it. He worked in the railway department and was building a bridge for the first time, but this did not prevent him from creating a true work of art. According to some sources, engineer of communications Prince Alexander Sergeyevich Kudashev also participated in the construction. For almost 130 years, the bridge has remained in its original form, except for the bricked-up side arches, which makes it even more unique.
