The Moscow region is famous for its ancient estates, and among them, the Serednikovo estate stands out. It was founded in 1693 by Prince Ivan Mikhailovich Cherkassky on land that his family had owned for 150 years. Over time, a church, a manor house, servant quarters, as well as stables and cattle yards appeared here. In 1775, the estate was acquired by Senator Vsevolod Alekseevich Vsevolozhsky, who completely rebuilt it, and this appearance has been preserved to this day. After his death, the estate changed hands, and in 1825, it was bought by Major General Dmitrievich Alekseevich Stolypin, a relative of the poet Mikhail Lermontov and the reformer Pyotr Stolypin.

Mikhail Lermontov often visited Serednikovo in his youth, as his grandmother, Elizaveta Petrovna Arsentyeva, became the owner of the estate after the death of Dmitry Alekseevich. In 1855, the estate passed to Arkadiy Dmitrievich Stolypin, the father of Pyotr Arkadyevich, who spent a significant part of his childhood here.

In 1869, the estate was purchased by the wealthy merchant Ivan Grigorievich Firsanov, who bequeathed it to his daughter Vera Ivanovna Firsanova. During those years, notable figures such as singer Shalyapin, composer Rachmaninoff, artist Valentin Serov, and other cultural figures visited the estate. After the revolution, the estate was confiscated, and Vera Ivanovna, with the help of Shalyapin, managed to escape to Paris, where she spent the rest of her life.

Despite the hardships of the 20th century and numerous destructions, the Serednikovo estate continues to amaze with its beauty.
