The estate of Bryanchaninovs, located in the village of Pokrovskoye in the Gryazovets district of the Vologda region, is a noble estate from the early 19th century, designed in the style of early classicism. This site is a monument of history and culture of federal significance, as well as a monument of garden and park art of regional significance. The estate is known as the birthplace and upbringing place of Dmitry Bryanchaninov, who became the Bishop of the Caucasus and the Black Sea Ignatius and was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church.

The estate complex includes the main house with wings and galleries built in 1809-1810, the Church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin, erected in 1811, the Bryanchaninov necropolis, a park with a pond, as well as a stable and cellar that appeared in the second half of the 19th century. The estate was restored in 2009.

The village of Pokrovskoye was granted to the Bryanchaninovs in the 17th century for military merits. In 1803, the estate passed to Alexander Semyonovich Bryanchaninov, who decided to build a new estate near the family cemetery. The main house was constructed according to the design of architect Alexander Sapozhnikov, and in 1820 the estate was rebuilt by architect A. S. Kutepov. Until 1918, Pokrovskoye remained the property of the Bryanchaninovs, but after the revolution, Vladimir and Sofia Bryanchaninov were forced to emigrate.

In 1924, a sanatorium "October Sprouts" was opened on the estate's territory, which operated until the early 1990s. During this time, the building was remodeled several times, and the Pokrovskaya church was closed and used as a warehouse. However, thanks to the efforts of the sanatorium's management, the estate retained its historical appearance until 1960, when it was placed under state protection. In the 1990s, after the sanatorium closed, the complex fell into disrepair, but in 1997 a restoration project based on the drawings of A. Sapozhnikov was developed, and the work was completed in 2009.

Today, the estate houses a cultural and educational spiritual center "Bryanchaninov Estate," which is a branch of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Vologda Region "Vologda Restoration." It also features a museum exhibition that tells about the life of the village of Pokrovskoye, Saint Ignatius, other members of the Bryanchaninov family, and the scientific restoration of the estate complex.
