In this village, it is said, there was an old house that was once sent to an exhibition in Paris. Others claim that the village had the most beautiful park, surrounded by linden trees and mighty oaks. Some believe that all of this belonged to the wealthy merchant Kalashnikov, but others disagree, asserting that the estate was won in a card game by the 'tea magnate' Kuznetsov.

These stories have a real basis. The estate is first mentioned in documents from the mid-17th century and then belonged to Princess Cherkasskaya. The name Mysovo is related to the fact that this land jutted into the Klyazma River as a cape. Later, the picturesque plot was owned by merchant Kalashnikov, who built a small tarpaulin factory here, employing local peasants. How this quiet estate would have developed further is unknown, had it not been for a twist of fate.

One day, over a 'glass of tea,' Kalashnikov played cards with industrialist Kuznetsov and lost his estate to him. The new owner launched active activities in Mysovo. The factory was closed, and a luxurious estate was built on the banks of the Klyazma. By Kuznetsov's order, six wooden buildings 'in Russian style' were erected in Mysovo without a single nail, which were rented out as summer houses. One of these houses went to the exhibition in Paris in 1911 as a sample of Slavic architecture and later became known as the Agronomist's House, as it housed the Vegetable and Gardening Station.

Kuznetsov also paved a good road to the village, along which linden trees were planted, leading to the manor house. Before that, the path to Mysovo was a muddy mess. The lord built a separate stable, where the estate was managed by an Englishman, Thomas Smith, who organized a Harness Museum at the estate. Life in Mysovo was cheerful: on weekends, an orchestra played in the park, and on holidays, Kuznetsov's wife arranged fireworks.

After the October Revolution, the Kuznetsovs were forced to leave their beloved village in a hurry.
