Peter Dmitriev served as the chairman of the Bugulma Zemstvo Administration, was an honorary justice of the peace, and managed an orphanage.

In Bugulma, he had his own house on one of the central streets, and in the village of Petrovka, there was his two-story stone mansion with a turret, which likely served as a country residence. The mansion was located on a plot of forest with ancient pines and a picturesque pond. On the shore of the pond, a stone mill building has been preserved, constructed in the same architectural style as the estate. Both buildings are faced with Chupaev stone, giving them a medieval appearance.

During the Soviet years, the estate was a recreation base for the Bugulma Mechanical Plant. A sculpture of Lenin stood at the entrance, and a dining hall building was erected nearby, of which only the walls without tiles remain today. The estate and the mill are in a state of neglect, and the one-story glazed verandas of the mansion are completely destroyed.

From Peter Dmitriev's legacy in Petrovka village, only the name of the settlement, which reminds of its owner, and the natural monument "Petrovskie Pines," which hide the crumbling estate under their branches, have survived to this day.
