In the main house of the estate of timber industrialist Sergey Nikanorovich Belyaev in the village of Voskresensk, there is now a local history museum. The sky-blue tower stands deep within a picturesque park on the banks of the wide Vetluga River.

The main building is an example of wooden architecture. The windows are adorned with carved frames and cornices, creating the impression of delicate lace from ancient Russian carving. Previously, there were balconies on the northern and eastern sides of the house, serving as additional exits to the park. The roof retains two decorative towers and an observation deck. The total area of the museum is 192.1 square meters. The building has two floors and a small basement.

The Belyaev estate is located on a forested area of Povetluzhye, on a high cliff, at the highest point of the Voskresensk district. The observation deck of the tower offers breathtaking views of the surroundings.

The estate complex is a monument of history and architecture of regional significance. It includes the main house, the Church of the Ascension, an outbuilding with a carriage house, a wing, a trading shop, and a park. The main building was erected in 1905. The outbuildings were connected to the main house by a beautiful timber passage. The interior of the house features painted ceilings. In the main room, paintings related to Belyaev's activities are depicted in each corner, showing timber harvesting on the wooded bank of the Vetluga River. There are also exhibitions dedicated to modern forestry. Rare exhibits were collected from the surrounding area at the initiative of local residents.

After the revolution, the owners of the house were evicted. In 1918, the first district committee of the RCP(b) was located in this building. The mansion of merchant-timber industrialist Belyaev was expropriated by the Bolsheviks. The directory indicates that on November 30, 1918, the first district conference of the Bolsheviks took place at the estate, attended by representatives of 29 party cells. The conference formalized the district party organization and elected the first Voskresensk district committee of the RCP(b).
