The estate of landowner A.I. Alekhin is located in the village of Novodvorsky in the Kastorensky district. This ancestral estate belonged to the parents of world chess champion Alexander Alekhine, who lived from 1892 to 1946. Previously, these lands were owned by landowners and horse breeders the Okhotnikovs.
The brick estate, located near the village of Novodvorskoe, was built in the last quarter of the 19th century by the Okhotnikovs.
Only the remnants of the main house, warehouses, oil mill, and the ruins of the stable have survived to this day. Nearby is a pond, and the estate itself is just a hundred meters from the "Gorshechnoe-Kastornoe" road. All remaining structures are in a state of disrepair. The abandoned manor house of the Alekhins and the stables, which have become a garbage dump, are being destroyed by local residents.
