The village on the right bank of the Oka River, 24 versts from Kaluga, was named after the princes Okhlyabinin, who were appointed by the Moscow voivode as governors of these lands. In the 17th century, the estate belonged to the Pyatov family, and by the 19th century, its owners became the landowners Baskakov and Bedlinsky.

By the end of the 19th century, Akhlebino was acquired by N.N. Konshin Jr., a representative of a well-known merchant dynasty. His father, a famous millionaire and public figure, gifted Nikolai the estates in the Kaluga province.

Konshin, having purchased the lands of the bankrupt merchant N.G. Panov, expanded his estate and began the construction of an architectural and park ensemble. He cleared the forest and planted the area with valuable tree species, including ship pines. He also built a brick factory, expanded the horse breeding farm, and established the largest fruit orchard in the region.

His plans included creating an estate with terraces, parks, and a five-story house with a colonnade and a dome-shaped greenhouse. However, in 1915, Konshin was found in his office with a gunshot wound. He managed to build two wings, the first floor of the house, basements, a greenhouse, a drainage system, a pier, and a park.

With the arrival of the Bolsheviks, the estate was looted, and a psychiatric hospital was placed in the building. The wings were dismantled, and the gardens were burned.

Today, the western wing, colonnade, entrance to the basement, greenhouse, Assumption Church, and chapel have survived.
