The Tashla church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, was built in 1775. This wooden building with a single altar was famous for its many ancient icons and beautifully painted ceiling. After its closure, the church was used as a grain storage for a long time. It was reopened after the Great Patriotic War, but a high tax was imposed, leaving people without means, and they cried. However, faith and prayer to the Mother of God helped find money. Despite threats from the authorities, the residents supported the church in every way they could. A forester who donated several boards was almost imprisoned, but the entire village stood up for him.

During this time, an icon of the Mother of God "Deliverer from Troubles" was brought to the church. Ekaterina Chugunova, a resident of the village of Tashla, dreamt of the Heavenly Queen who pointed out the location of the miraculous image. This happened on October 21, 1917. On her way to the site, Ekaterina saw two Angels carrying the radiant icon and disappearing. In a ravine, at the indicated spot, a small icon of the Mother of God was found, and a spring gushed forth immediately. A priest from a neighboring village, Vasily Krylov, brought the icon to the Trinity church. The holy image was met with banners and icons. The local possessed woman, who later was healed from a 32-year illness, announced the arrival of the icon to everyone. The icon was placed in the temple under glass alongside the icon of the Holy Trinity.

Although many sick people began to be healed through prayers at the icon, the rector, Father Dmitry Mitekin, initially did not show proper respect for the holy relic. Two months later, on December 23, the icon disappeared from the church. The caretaker saw a bright lightning flash from the church to the spring. The icon was found shining above the chapel at the spring. When the chapel was opened, they saw that the ice in the well had melted, and the icon was floating in the water. Shocked, Father Dmitry repented of his disbelief and asked for forgiveness from the Mother of God and the people. After that, the icon surfaced and was lifted from the water. Since then, it has remained in the village.

The well was constantly deepened and cleaned, and in dry years it was almost the only source of water for the village. Until 1925, processions were held with the icon "Deliverer from Troubles," and people from all over the Volga region came to the holy place, many receiving healings. The authorities closed the church but could not find the icon, which the believers had hidden securely. Then they buried the spring with manure, but the spring broke through not far from the previous location. The spring has now been restored.
