Next to the Trinity and Transfiguration Cathedrals is a one-story refectorial church dedicated to Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. Its appearance was foretold by Father Seraphim to the Diveyevo sisters, although at that time there was a rural cemetery here. The stone refectory was built in the 1890s under the abbess Maria Ushakova. The church was most often used in winter. Usually, food was delivered to the buildings, and the sisters gathered for communal meals only on holidays. The refectory hall could accommodate up to 1600 people at once. The kitchen was located in the western part of the building. During the Soviet era, it housed a club, library, and cinema.

The process of returning the refectory building to the monastery lasted from 1997 to 2000. On August 1, 2000, a festive meal was held in the restored church with the participation of Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia, and on November 14/27, 2000, the church was consecrated by Metropolitan Nikolai of Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas.

In 2001 and 2002, the church was painted by masters from the Palekh Icon Painting Workshop 'Lik'. The area of the painting exceeds 1200 sq.m. The main themes include the fresco 'Dormition of the Theotokos' on the western wall and two frescoes on the eastern wall dedicated to the venerable and holy martyrs of Diveyevo. The northern wall depicts the Uncreated Image of the Savior and Archangels Michael and Gabriel, while on the southern wall, Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. The ceiling is adorned with an ornamental composition featuring 25 medallions depicting saints, venerables, and martyrs.
