The Talovka settlement, founded in 1747, is now known as the village of Talovka in the Yurgamyshevsky District of the Kurgan Region. Here stands the Nikolsky temple, which stands out for its unique architecture and is considered one of the rarest in Russia. The church is an example of Ural architecture from the mid-18th century and reflects the distinctive vision of the baroque style by local craftsmen.

In 1752, the Ilyinsky church was built in Talovka, and since then, on August 2, the villagers celebrate Ilyin Day. In 1818, the church was damaged by fire, but by 1828 it was restored as a stone temple in the baroque style with two altars dedicated to St. Nicholas of Myra and the prophet Elijah. Since then, the church has officially been called Nikolayevskaya, although for the locals, it remained Ilyinskaya.
