The history of the Holy Trinity Church spans several centuries. Initially, it was wooden and consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, with altars dedicated to Saints Simeon the God-receiver and Anna the Prophetess. Later, the church was renamed in honor of the Most Holy Life-giving Trinity. For a long time, a chapel with a particularly revered icon of St. Nicholas was located within its enclosure.

The stone building of the church was erected in 1808 and underwent significant reconstruction 40 years later.

In 1932, the church was listed among those to be closed. Based on the standard wording of the time regarding "numerous petitions from the workers," the church was shut down. Until 1939, it housed a grain storage facility. However, starting in 1939, the authorities allowed services to resume, and the church operated until the mid-1950s. In 1953, it was closed again due to dilapidation and emergency conditions. In the late 1950s, when the crosses and roof were being removed, a crowd of believers gathered near the church, but their protests went unheard. After its closure, the building was used as a warehouse, and no repairs were made for over twenty years. Following restoration in 1982, a Palace of Pioneers was opened here.

In 1992, the church building was returned to the believers. Father Viktor (Tolstikov) became the rector and began restoring the building. Parishioners worked alongside him to dismantle the stage and ceilings. Father Viktor recalled that initially, the church was filled with debris, broken bricks, and dust. Gradually, an iconostasis was created, analogs were made, and candlesticks were installed.

Since 1996, the restoration was continued by the new rector, Father Alexiy (Luporev). Thanks to his efforts, iconostases were erected, floors were renewed, and the church's decor was prepared for consecration. Kiots were made, the walls were plastered, and prepared for painting.

In 2000, the construction of the bell tower was completed, crosses were installed, and the dome was restored. The restoration of the church took place with the support of the president of the International Fund "Generation," State Duma deputy A.V. Skotch, the district and city administration led by F.E. Sulim, and Alexeyevsky PМК No. 19 under the leadership of V.I. Syusyukalov.

In 2006, internal renovation work was carried out: the floor was restored, and a new iconostasis was installed. At the same time, external work was done: window frames were replaced, asphalt tiles were laid around the church, the foundation was restored, and the walls were repainted.

On November 26, 2006, the church was consecrated by Archbishop Ioann of Belgorod and Starooskol.
