The two-story church in honor of the Holy Trinity began construction in 1762 with funds from the adjutant of the Life Guards, Peter Fyodorovich Grinshtain. The construction was completed in 1795 thanks to the efforts of Major General Sergey Adamovich Olsufyev. Initially, the lower warm church was consecrated in 1795 in honor of Saint Basil the Great, and in 1874, in honor of the Protection of the Holy Virgin. The upper cold Trinity church was consecrated in 1831 by Colonel Dmitry Sergeyevich Olsufyev, and after repairs to the walls and restoration of the iconostasis, it was consecrated again in 1865. The church was located in the village of Ust-Vazerk, which later became part of the village of Vazerk.

The remaining part of the building represents a rectangular frame of the two-story church with an adjoining two-story rectangular apse from the east with a segmental projection and a three-tiered bell tower from the west. The wooden octagon with the church dome, the dome with the spire of the bell tower, the entire roof, the inter-floor ceilings, and the four-column porticos that marked the lower tier of the bell tower on three sides have been lost.
