The monastery began to be established in September 1996 on the site of a former noble estate. By the highest decree of Emperor Nicholas II of All Russia, the estate in the Tambov province, now Voronezh region, was granted to the hero of the Caucasian War, General Solovtsov.

The centuries-old forest resembles the dense Sarov forest, where Saint Seraphim lived. In August 1998, the great consecration of the Seraphim of Sarov Church took place, and on September 19, 2004, the summer church in honor of the Holy Royal Martyrs was consecrated. The monastery has a holy spring, known since ancient times and always considered healing. In 2005, a new spring and baptismal font were consecrated in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "The Inexhaustible Cup." The monastery has two dependencies: in the Church of the Protection of the Mother of God in the village of Malaya Gribanovka, Gribanovsky district, and in the Church of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple in the village of Bratki, Ternovsky district.
