The stela 'Maritime Glory of Russia' in Novorossiysk has become one of the modern symbols of the city. It is dedicated to Russian sailors, who have always been an important military and economic support for the country. The monument was designed and installed during the reconstruction of the Admiral Serebryakov Embankment. The grand opening took place on April 25, 2007, attended by residents and the leadership of Novorossiysk.

The stela was made in parts in different cities, with the sculpture itself cast in Rostov-on-Don. Its total height is 7.5 meters, not including the base. It is installed on a high granite pedestal. According to the creators, the structure is very securely anchored and can withstand winds of up to 300 kg per square meter. At the base of the stela, there is a fountain, and the sculpture is equipped with lighting that turns on at night to prevent collisions with helicopters.
