The Old English Courtyard, one of the oldest buildings in Moscow. In its white-stone basement, which has preserved staircases and fragments of 16th-century masonry, exhibitions of the "Podklet" project take place. Each exhibition is dedicated to an archaeological artifact, a cult relic, or a contemporary art object with its own history. A multimedia exposition is created around this item, including historical research, interviews with experts, as well as excerpts from cinema and literature.

In the upper chambers of the Old English Courtyard, one can learn about the lives of English merchants and entrepreneurs, their trade operations with Russia, and how trade was organized. In the Treasury Chamber, where formal receptions were held and deals were made, the treasury was stored. In the Kitchen, a model of a 16th-17th century English galleon is presented, along with samples of goods and travel gear of English travelers. There, one can also see a map depicting the routes of their travels in Russia and the dangerous sea expeditions that brought England and Russia closer together during the Age of Great Discoveries.
