Old Believer Prayer House in Mala Tavolozhka (Lost)

Фото 1
On May 23, 1908, the Samara provincial government officially allowed the registration of an Old Believer community in Mala Tavolozhka, adhering to the priesthood of the Belokrinitskaya hierarchy. At the same time, permission was granted to build a church 20 fathoms from the village. In the fall, it was constructed from materials of a dismantled prayer house. However, the project could not be fully completed due to a lack of funds: the bell tower was not built and a bell was not purchased, and the iconostasis had to be an old and modest one, left after the demolition of the previous prayer house. The first meeting of the Belokrinitskaya community took place on June 28, 1909.

In 1925, a labor agricultural artel "Smychka" was created in Mala Tavolozhka. The bezpopovskaya prayer house was closed in the 1930s, and the Austrian, Belokrinitskaya one was dismantled after its closure in 1946.
