The Sreten Church, located at the abbot's residence, was built in 1881 and consecrated by Bishop Jonah of Yaroslavl and Rostov. After the monastery was closed in 1918, the building housed a cinema and a furniture store. Restoration of the church began in 1998, and the first archpastoral service took place there in November. In 2001, six new icons were added to the iconostasis of the Sreten Church.
In July 2006, the church building along with the former abbot's residence was transferred to the Orthodox provincial gymnasium named after Saint Ignatius Bryanchaninov. The Sreten Church became the house church of the gymnasium, where services are held for teachers, students, and their parents.
By August 2012, the Sreten Church was renovated, and the gilding of the iconostasis began, which was completed in 2017. Since December of the same year, Sunday Divine Liturgies for the sisters have been regularly held in the church, followed by the rite of Panagia.
