Фото 1
The Ascension Church, located in the Ascension Women's Monastery near the settlement of Dubovka, was built in 1891 thanks to donations. The consecration of the church took place on September 19, 1891, conducted by Bishop Abraham of Saratov and Tsaritsyn. The church was made of stone, unheated, and sturdy, with two altars, of which only the main one has been consecrated so far.

The church did not have its own buildings. Since September 1, 1893, an orphanage-school for ten orphans has been operating at the monastery. The church has no land holdings, but a place for a cemetery, surrounded by a stone fence, has been designated on the southeast side of the monastery courtyard. The monastery also has another stone church, built in 1868. It is heated and connected to the main building of the monastery. This church has one altar, dedicated to the appearance of the icon of the Mother of God, known as the Tikhvin.

A house for the priest was built by the monastery in 1885 from stone. The priest receives a salary of 540 rubles per year from the monastery, as well as a portion of provisions in kind to support his maintenance. In addition, the priest has income from interest on the capital belonging to the church. The priest is Theodosius Nikolsky.
