The Cathedral of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God is one of the largest churches in the Voronezh region. Surrounding it is a two-sided stylobate structure that includes a Sunday school with six classrooms, a refectory for parishioners and guests, a lecture hall for 150 people, a library with a reading room, and an exhibition gallery.

On July 6, 2003, on the day of the celebration of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, Metropolitan Sergey of Voronezh and Borisoglebsk consecrated the cross and the cornerstone of the cathedral after a procession with the church icon from the Protection Church in the city of Lisk to the construction site.

The cathedral includes two churches. The lower floor houses a church with three chapels: the central one dedicated to the All-Merciful Savior (consecrated by His Eminence Sergey on February 17, 2013), the southern one in honor of Saint Prince Vladimir, and the northern one in honor of Saint Martyr Victor.

The upper church, dedicated to the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, is still under construction. The central dome has already been painted, craftsmen from Ivano-Frankivsk are making the iconostasis, and icons are also being painted. Preparations for laying the floors in the altar area are nearing completion. The church is in need of liturgical items and icons.
