In 1906, the Cathedral Church in honor of the Holy Trinity was consecrated, with chapels of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and St. John of Rila. The church, nearly 35 meters tall, was built in the Byzantine-Russian style and adorned with five domes topped with gilded crosses. It delighted parishioners with its bright interiors, wide windows, and gleaming parquet floors. In 1908, a bell tower was erected at the monastery.

In 1922, the monastery was closed and looted, and the Trinity Cathedral and bell tower were destroyed. A children's home was established on its grounds. To this day, part of the monastery walls, the sisterhood buildings, and the very first monastery church in honor of the Holy Myrrhbearers have been preserved, where until recently there was a village club. The half-ruined refectory building with a chapel dedicated to the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, lacking windows and doors, has also survived.

On April 26, 2015, on the feast of the Holy Myrrhbearers, the Voskresensko-Myrrhbearers Women's Monastery was revived. An archpastoral service took place in the Myrrhbearers Church. The monastery now has the status of a dependency of the Christ-Birth Women's Monastery, and Sister Vera Sergeeva has been appointed the head of the monastery.

On May 21, 2016, its main relic, the Iveron Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, painted on the holy Mount Athos, returned to the monastery. This icon was located in a silver-gilded canopy above the royal gates of the main chapel of the Trinity Cathedral. During the reading of the Akathist, it was lowered on silk cords for veneration. In the corners of the icon, in reliquaries, are particles of the relics of St. Andrew the First-Called, St. Athanasius, Patriarch of Alexandria, the holy martyr Phocas, and St. Nil of Athos. After the monastery was closed, the icon was kept in the Protection Cathedral of Astrakhan. Another icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, "The Unbreakable Wall," from the iconostasis of the chapel of the Trinity Cathedral in honor of St. John of Rila, consecrated by St. John of Kronstadt, is currently in the Nativity of the Theotokos Church in the village of Nikolskoye, where many miracles and healings occur from it. Currently, the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Economissa" is especially venerated in the monastery.
