The first Trinity church in Buguruslan was built in 1898, but it was closed and then destroyed in the 1930s. In 1992, a parish in honor of the Holy Trinity was registered again in the city, and a wooden church was built, which burned down in 2003. That same year, construction of a stone temple began on its site. On November 6, 2008, Metropolitan Valentin of the Orenburg and Buzuluk Diocese consecrated the domes, acquired by philanthropist Yuri Venediktovich Pyataev, a resident of Buguruslan. On August 19, 2010, on the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, the temple itself was consecrated.
