The main church of the monastery is the two-story Alexeyevsky-Vladimir Cathedral. The first stone church was built in 1674 and was rebuilt multiple times. By the mid-19th century, it had fallen into disrepair and was dismantled in 1879. However, the tented bell tower, built simultaneously with the church, has survived to this day. The new two-story church was constructed from 1812 to 1819 according to the design of provincial architect I.I. Volkov in the classical style. Initially, the upper church was dedicated to the Resurrection of the Lord, and the lower one to St. Alexius of Moscow, hence the church bore the historical name Alexeyevsky-Resurrection.

Currently, the lower church is consecrated in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, while the upper one is in honor of St. Alexius of Moscow. The two-story church and the ancient bell tower are historical and cultural monuments of federal significance from the 17th to 19th centuries.

The restoration of the cathedral was completed in 2014. Work was carried out to restore the facade, ribbon foundation, as well as the replacement of the rafter system and roofing.
