The church was built in 1928 and, thanks to the development of the local film industry, became somewhat of a "star" location. Notable figures such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, whose piano is still kept in the church, actress Natalie Wood, and representatives of famous noble families like the Golitsyns and Volkonskys have often visited here. Even today, many celebrities can be found among the parishioners. According to the church's rector, Nazariy Polatayko, producers, actors, screenwriters, and musicians feel comfortable here, as they are not bothered with requests for autographs or selfies. "This is indeed a temple, not a hangout spot," he notes.

However, it is still possible to interact with the stars, but only after services. Usually, after major holidays, a meal is organized in the courtyard in a friendly and calm atmosphere. No one tries to ask intrusive questions or secretly photograph the celebrities. It introduces everyone interested to the traditions of our culture, teaches the Russian language in the Sunday school, and upon completion, issues a certificate for admission to universities. Lecturers are also invited, and film screenings are organized.
