In 2018, the restoration of the western service wing of the Sologub city estate, built in the 18th century along with the main house, was completed. This single-story building was used as a carriage house with living quarters for the staff. During the restoration, specialists repaired cracks in the stone part of the building, restored the decor, renovated the windows and doors, painted the facade, and treated the plaster with moisture protection. Interior work was also carried out: flooring was replaced, window openings were aligned, ceilings were reinforced, and the rooms were reconfigured for modern use.

The first owner of the estate was I.I. Vorontsov-Velyaminov, who built a small house with corner pilasters on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street in 1756. By the end of the 18th century, the estate passed to the Dolgorukovs, who expanded it to Povarskaya Street, adding two symmetrical service wings on either side of the main house. A mezzanine was added to the house, along with porticos.

In 1812, the French lived here, but the estate was not damaged by fire. From the second half of the 19th century, it belonged to Baron Bode-Kolychev, under whom the courtyard acquired a closed composition that has been preserved to this day, and a chapel was added to the end of the main house.

In 1866, the famous Russian publicist and poet I.S. Aksakov and the memoirist A.F. Tyutcheva, daughter of the Russian poet, were married in this chapel. The widow of A.S. Griboedov, N.A. Chavchavadze, also stayed at the estate. L.N. Tolstoy often visited here, describing the estate in his novel "War and Peace" as the home of the Rostovs.

Shortly before the revolution, the estate passed to the Sologub family, becoming their last possession.
