The sculpture 'Maksimka' is located in the center of Tuapse, at the entrance to the sailors' culture palace. It depicts characters from the film of the same name.

The sculpture shows a little black boy, Maksimka, and sailor Luchkin. Russian sailors rescued Maksimka from a sunken ship in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean and gave him this name. The boy became especially attached to sailor Luchkin and loved him.
