In 2007, a monument to a flower girl was unveiled in the center of Rostov-on-Don, created by the renowned local sculptor Dmitry Landin. The sculpture is located on the parapet at the entrance to Gorky Park, which is a popular recreation spot for residents, especially among the youth.

The sculpture fits so harmoniously into the surrounding landscape that at dusk it can be mistaken for a living person. However, upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that its fragility and natural growth are merely an illusion.

The flower girl seems to invite passersby to buy a bouquet. At her feet is a basket of flowers, presumably violets, although some believe they are roses. In her hands, she holds a small bouquet that the residents of Rostov jokingly call ice cream due to its size. Some locals even know her name, Anyuta.

The monument was installed as part of a program to enhance the artistic appearance of the city. However, why the image of the flower girl was chosen and why she was given that name remains a mystery. There is an opinion that the prototype was a blind flower seller from the film "City Lights" with Charlie Chaplin, although the author himself speaks of a collective image.

Lovers often arrange meetings at the monument, and men enjoy taking photos with the motionless beauty. Locals have also given her various nicknames, one of which, "Girl with Ice Cream," has become particularly popular. It can be confidently said that this sculpture is one of the most beautiful in the city and symbolizes femininity and lightness.
