Фото 1
The museum, opened in the capital of the Northern Fleet at the initiative of the administration of the closed administrative-territorial formation of Severomorsk, offers visitors a variety of exhibits. Its collections include documents and photographs, awards and banners, paintings and drawings, ship models, and personal belongings of Severomorsk residents. The museum consists of three halls: the Hall of Military Glory, the City Exhibition Hall, and the Exhibition Hall.

The Hall of Military Glory is dedicated to the distant past of the village of Vaenga, founded in 1896-1897, the history of the creation of the Northern Military Flotilla, the role of the Northern Fleet during the Great Patriotic War, and the heroes of Severomorsk, after whom the streets of the city are named.

The exhibits in the City Hall tell about the present of the capital of the Northern Fleet, which celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2006. The exhibition highlights the history of the construction of Severomorsk, the work of various city enterprises, and the achievements of residents in the fields of culture, education, and sports.

The Exhibition Hall regularly hosts traveling exhibitions featuring works by both professional and amateur artists, as well as masters of artistic photography and decorative applied arts. Meetings with creative individuals and artists from the city are also organized here.
