The memorial plaque on the building in the courtyard at 65 Old Church St in London, known as the Sevastopol Stone, raises many questions. What exactly was founded in 1798 and rebuilt exactly one hundred years later? And why was a stone from the fortifications of Sevastopol attached to the building?
