The idea of creating a museum in Saranpaul arose from the Veterans Council of the settlement in 1990. They collected documents, photographs, and household items, which were then transferred to the Ethnographic Center, opened in 1993. In 1999, a museum was established based on this center. On January 3, 2002, the Saranpaul Museum became a branch of the Berezovsky Historical and Local History Museum. Since 2007, it has operated as a municipal institution. The Saranpaul Local History Museum has a branch, the Ethnographic Park. Since March 2012, a children's group has been active at the museum.
