In 1906, one of the first sanatoriums, named 'Nadezhda', was opened at Tonkij Mys in Gelendzhik and belonged to Dr. Platonov. One of the buildings of this health resort complex has survived to this day, but its former elegance and beauty have been lost. Now, this structure is used as a two-story apartment building.

The sanatorium specialized in the treatment of women's diseases, as well as rehabilitation after surgeries related to anemia, blood disorders, and nervous exhaustion. Here, there was likely Dr. Platonov's office and rooms for patient accommodation. The printed publication 'Gelendzhik in Vintage Postcards of the Early 20th Century' mentions that the homely atmosphere in the sanatorium contributed to the rapid recovery of patients.

Dr. Vladimir Platonov, a renowned gynecological surgeon and chief physician of the Yekaterinodar City Hospital, approached the creation of his sanatorium thoroughly. The main treatment method was the use of climatic conditions: sun, air, and sea baths under the supervision of specialists. In the summer, specialist doctors from Yekaterinodar were invited to Gelendzhik to monitor the patients' condition during procedures.

In the 1920s, this health complex housed the Lenin Sanatorium, intended for patients with nervous disorders. Currently, the territory of the former sanatorium hosts the hydrobase of the Taganrog Scientific and Technical Complex, where the International Exhibition 'Hydroaviashow' takes place every two years.
