The famous Ryabushinsky family left a significant mark in the history of pre-revolutionary Russia. Members of this family possessed immense wealth and were actively involved in charity. However, today we will talk not about the fortunes of the merchant dynasty, but about the outstanding Russian ballerina Tatiana Ryabushinskaya. She was born on May 23, 1917, in a year that became pivotal for the Ryabushinsky family and the entire country. Tatiana's life could have turned tragic: the new authorities confiscated all her parents' property, and her mother was arrested. Nevertheless, she managed to escape from Moscow with the help of loyal servants and fled abroad with her children. Her father emigrated to London, where he lived separately from the family.

Tatiana began her conscious life in Monte Carlo, and then moved to Paris with her mother, where she started studying ballet. At that time, Paris was not only the capital of France but also the center of Russian emigration, where many outstanding Russian artists worked. Young Ryabushinskaya quickly attracted attention and at the age of 12 performed at the cabaret theater "The Bat", and then joined the famous troupe of George Balanchine, who worked with the so-called baby ballerinas. Under his guidance, the troupe of young ballerinas performed on the best stages of Western Europe and achieved great success. Thus began the first fame of Tatiana Ryabushinskaya.

Tatiana's career, as a representative of a renowned merchant dynasty, turned out to be as impressive as the lost fortune of her ancestors. She performed in France and the USA, and specialists of that time noted her unique performance technique. After finishing her stage career, Ryabushinskaya became a well-known teacher, opened her own ballet school, and remained in demand until her old age. She lived for 83 years and passed away surrounded by family on August 24, 2000. The final resting place for the famous ballerina was Los Angeles.
