The Orthodox cemetery in Hietaniemi, also known as the Large or Ilyinsky cemetery, is located in Helsinki, in the Lapinlahti district. Here rest Russian Orthodox writers, artists, sculptors, architects, as well as religious and political figures.

The cemetery was opened in 1815. In 1852, the Ilyinsky chapel was built at its entrance, and in 1954, a larger church in honor of the Prophet Elijah was erected on the necropolis grounds, designed by architect Ivan Kudryavtsev.
