The Russian Cemetery Berlin-Tegel, which is a Russian Orthodox cemetery in Berlin, is managed by the Holy Prince Vladimir Brotherhood. The cemetery church of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helena, built in 1894, is the oldest of the three Russian Orthodox churches in Berlin and the only one in Germany that has a cemetery. Tsar Alexander III sent 4,000 tons of Russian soil so that compatriots who died abroad could be buried in their native land.
