The Russian Educational Center in Eden Prairie has been operating for nearly two decades. During the school day, children attend three classes where they learn the Russian language, develop speaking skills, and get acquainted with Russian literature and culture. Younger children start learning letters through crafts, poems, fairy tales, songs, and games, as well as participate in music classes.
The curriculum includes 10 levels and starts at age 4. At the higher levels, the program actively prepares students for the Advanced Placement Russian (AP Russian) exam, allowing them to earn college credits.
The school organizes children's concerts and celebrations two to three times a year. There is a children's theater studio that produces two vibrant performances annually. In addition to the theater studio and chess section, there are drawing and young culinary clubs. The theatrical New Year celebration and Summer Festival are particularly popular. Excursions to museums and other interesting city places, screenings of Russian-language films, and themed evenings are also held. Furthermore, the school has been running a children's summer camp for several seasons.
