Russian Orthodox Church in Bali

Фото 1
Orthodox Christians living in Bali have created a community and rented a space for a home church. They reached out to the leadership of the Russian Orthodox Church with a request to establish a parish in Bali in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

The first Divine Liturgy in this church took place on January 7, 2018.

On January 14, 2018, on the island of Bali, on the day of the Feast of the Circumcision of the Lord and the memory of St. Basil the Great, Archbishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk, who oversees parishes in East and Southeast Asia, conducted the Divine Liturgy in the new church of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The faithful present at the service received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

Hieromonk Ioasaf (Tandibilang), a cleric from the Belgorod Diocese, was assigned to the service of Archbishop Sergiy of Solnechnogorsk for pastoral ministry in Indonesia within the framework of the Moscow Patriarchate.
