The Latvian National Museum of Art is the largest state collection of artworks in the country. Its collection includes over 52,000 exhibits that showcase the development of Latvian art from the mid-18th century to the present day, as well as works by European and Russian masters. In the museum's collection, one can see paintings by artists such as V. Purvītis, J. Rozentāls, N. Roerich, I. Aivazovsky, and others. The museum was founded in 1869 and is located in the center of Riga, in the Esplanade park. In addition to the permanent exhibition, it often hosts exhibitions of Latvian and foreign authors.

The State Art Museum of Latvia has several branches: the "Arsenal" exhibition hall in Old Riga, the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design on Skārņu Street 10/20, and the Museum of Foreign Art in the building of the Riga Stock Exchange at Dome Square.

The collection of the Latvian National Museum of Art, founded in 1869, includes over 52,000 items. The museum also houses a collection of Russian art, including works by Nikolai Roerich, donated to the museum by the Riga Society of Roerich.

Among other Russian artists represented in the collection are Vasily Surikov, Ilya Repin, Ivan Kramskoy, Zinaida Serebriakova, and others. The sculpture collection features works by Mark Antokolsky, Sergey Konenkov, Vera Mukhina, as well as ceramics by Mikhail Vrubel.
