Rotunda of Architect Nikolai Doroshenko

Фото 1
In 1901, city architect Nikolai Alexandrovich Doroshenko, at the request of the government of Rostov-on-Don, began to improve the area where the ruins of the Saint Dmitry of Rostov fortress were located. As a result, in the same year, an elegant rotunda with six columns was built, becoming a true adornment of this place. Beneath the rotunda were underground rooms created during the construction of the Rostov fortress. Today, the rotunda is part of the complex of structures in May 1st Park and continues to amaze with its beauty.
