The Rostral Column is one of the main attractions of Admiralty Square and all of Voronezh. This monument was erected in honor of the creation of the Russian Navy. It is here, on the banks of the river of the same name, that the first admiralty was founded, and here the country's first fleet was based.

The solemn opening of the Rostral Column took place at Admiralty Square in 1996, on the day of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy. Architect A. An put in a lot of effort to create this monument, which reaches a height of 30 meters. The column is clearly visible from both land and water and is of great architectural interest. Nearby is the beautiful Assumption Church.

At Admiralty Square, one can see many monuments and architectural structures, but many visitors come here specifically for the Rostral Column, symbolizing the Russian naval fleet. The monument is adorned with rostra depicting the bows of ships.
