For several years, a Russian educational studio for children in Edmond, Oklahoma, known as Rostok, has been successfully developing. It has become a center for Russian-speaking children's cultural life, organizing large events in Russian every year and attracting participation from children across the state.

The newspaper "Russian America" noted that for Russian-speaking parents living abroad, one of the most challenging tasks is maintaining a child's interest in the Russian language. This becomes especially difficult if the child has no opportunity to communicate with peers, create, and learn in a Russian-speaking environment. Therefore, holidays, dances, and theater become excellent ways to inspire children and engage them in the world of Russian culture. The level of language proficiency among children varies, but each of them achieves their successes. For example, some students have become so fascinated with Russian folk music that they now have a good understanding of Russian dance songs. Who would have thought that American children, raised far from Russia, dance the "Kamarinskaya" or "Barin" so skillfully, as if they had been doing it their whole lives! It is no secret that for most students at the studio, Russian is a second language, and many find it challenging. Some have been studying at the studio for two years and now communicate and perform confidently in Russian.
