Reineke Family Provision Warehouses

Фото 1
The provision warehouses owned by the Reineke family are a notable architectural landmark that has survived to this day and continues to serve its original functions. Their construction began in 1879 after the rapid erection of a large mill on the banks of the Volga, which created the need for storage facilities. Later, additional stone buildings were added for storing flour and grain, which represent unique cultural monuments of architecture and history, not related to known architectural styles. In April 2015, a fire occurred on the warehouse premises, causing significant damage to the buildings. A year later, the head of ROSIZO, Sergey Perov, proposed to restore this cultural and historical site and create a contemporary art center based on it.
