Regimental Church

Фото 1
The regimental church was located at the intersection of Moskovskaya and Gubernatorskaya streets (now Stepan Razin Street). It was built in 1898 next to the barracks of the Bobruisk battalion and had an altar in honor of Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. In 1926, the church building was repurposed as a club for the Volga regiment, known as the club named after comrade Vostretsov, and its dome was dismantled.

Today, the building has been preserved, although it has undergone significant changes. Currently, it houses the enterprise "VTI, Service," which deals with computing technology and informatics. Negotiations are underway regarding the possible return of the building to the Saratov diocese.
