The village of Yurgamyshevo was founded around 1744. In 1859-1860, the Annunciation Church was built here, after which the village became known as Petrovskoye. The church was located at the entrance to the village, on the left side of the road, in an area known as Gora. It is mentioned in the description of the map of Peter's lands from 1853 and was surrounded by a fence with ornate metal grilles. After the church was closed around 1930, the building was used to store state grain. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the church was left unattended and began to deteriorate. In the mid-1960s, at the initiative of the party committee of the state farm, the district party committee, as well as the village council and the management of the state farm, the church was blown up to use the bricks as building material. At the same time, churches in the villages of Kipel and Karasi, as well as the functioning church in the village of Chineyevo, were destroyed.
