In 1912, in the house of peasant Alexander Grigoryevich Svinyukhov on Lekarskaya Street, where a colonial grocery store was located, the city administration opened the Pasteur Station for vaccination against bites from rabid animals. A. G. Svinyukhov was a trusted person of Prince A. D. Obolensky, who owned the neighboring estate at the corner of Lekarskaya and Predtechenskaya Streets (now Bakunina Street). In 1912, this estate was rented out for the placement of a land surveying school.
